Normet acquires Dynamic Rock Support, “reinforces” offering for Rock Reinforcement

Normet Group Oy has today acquired the shares in Dynamic Rock Support AS in Norway. The acquisition broadens Normet’s offering for rock reinforcement with the new generation, energy absorbent D-Bolt system.

Dynamic Rock Support AS (DRS), owned by ProVenture Seed, Salvesen&Thams, NTNU - the Norwegian University of Science and Technology - and the founders, is based in Trondheim, Norway and has subsidiaries in Australia and Canada.

Atlas Copco to resell D-Bolt in Sweden, Denmark and Greenland

21st of June 2012: Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique Sweden and Dynamic Rock Support have entered a reseller agreement covering Sweden, Denmark and Greenland. Dynamic Rock Support is proud to partner with Atlas Copco and look very much forward to a mutually awarding cooperation with focus on providing the D-Bolt to key Atlas Copco customers.

D-Bolt for Australia to be presented at Deep Mining 2012

Dynamic Rock Support is excited to be participating at DEEP MINING 2012, the Sixth International Seminar on Deep and High Stress Mining, to be held in Perth from March 28.-30. 2012.

D-Bolt is securing LKAB Kiruna´s new level

LKAB is making good progress in their work to establish a new main haulage level, at 1365 meters depth, for the four kilometer long and 80 meters wide iron ore body of the Swedish Kiruna mine. The project KUJ1365 represents the single largest investment (SEK 12.5 billion) in LKAB’s long history.

DRS lands first major Australian D-Bolt contract

From the start, Dynamic Rock Support has had a high focus on the Australian market, seeing a great potential for our products in helping the Australian mining industry to a safer and more efficient operation. After months of introducing the D-Bolt ground support system to mines across the continent, Hugh Walley, VP and President of DRS’ Australian branch, is very pleased to have received the first major commercial orders this month.

ACES recognizes DRS and D-Bolt

Dynamic Rock Support joins 17 other finalists from a broad range of European universities to compete for top prizes in the 2010 ACES Academic Enterprise Awards, the only pan-European program to recognize entrepreneurship at academic institutions. “We are very honored to join the strong group of ACES nominees and take the nomination as another acknowledgement of CTO Charlie C.
